How We Work

Three strategic pillars. One connected NGO/CSO network.

Connect

We map and link NGOs/CSOs, clinics and facilities, and community groups across all 17 Philippine Regions to create and sustain a directory of mental health resources.

Communicate

We improve member awareness through real-time sharing of information about mental health projects and activities — from the planning stage, to implementation, to monitoring and evaluation whenever feasible and desired.

Collaborate

We facilitate sharing of resources and vision among member organizations, linking them to national agencies and units (government and private) as well as international organizations, in line with the Philippine Council for Mental Health (PCMH) Strategic Framework.

Four Key Areas of Collaboration

N3MH member NGOs/CSOs work together across four interconnected domains — ensuring comprehensive, coordinated mental health action nationwide.

Service Provision

Delivering accessible, community-based mental health services through member organizations — from crisis intervention, family care, community care, treatment and recovery care.

Training and Education

Building the capacity of frontline workers, caregivers, and communities through skills training, psychoeducation, and professional development programs.

Research

Encouraging the generation of properly guided mental health data gathering, storing, analysis, and reporting among member organizations and the larger healthcare research community.

Policy and Governance

Advocating for rights-based, inclusive mental health legislation and ensuring NGO/CSO voices are represented in national and local governance structures aligned with the PCMH Strategic Framework.

Rooted in National Policy. Driven by Community.

N3MH operates under the PCMH Strategic Framework 2024–2028 and DOH's Ginhawa ng Isip at Damdamin initiative, coordinating with the Department of Health, PhilHealth, and 17 DOH Centers for Health Development. Our network spans the full MNS and Community Support Ecosystem — uniting clinical specialists, licensed social workers, faith-based organizations, grassroots CSOs, academic institutions, and government partners under the principles of Subsidiarity, Transparency, and Inclusion.
